A natural part of the ageing process is the decrease in production of collagen and elastin in our skin. 

As a result, we start to see the effects of skin laxity, with loss of volume and the formation of fine lines, and folds. 

The skin around our eyes is particularly delicate and, therefore, it can be more susceptible to developing lines and wrinkles. This, coupled with loss of volume, means that hollows or ‘tear troughs’ can form under the eyes.
